The future of Rodrygo has become a key talking point at Real Madrid lately as the forward continues to fail in his bid to impress new coach Xabi Alonso.

The Brazilian didn’t have the best of time in the FIFA Club World Cup, often being overshadowed by Arda Guler.

Rodrygo’s role in the first-team may dilute further once new signing Franco Mastantuono joins hte Real Madrid camp in August.

This has led to intense speculation over Rodrygo’s future, with the likes of Arsenal, PSG and Manchester City interested in his services.

Saudi Arabia, too, have been linked with a move for the Real Madrid winger, but Fabrizio Romano has recently refuted all the speculation.

Rodrygo wants to stay at Real Madrid

However, despite all the speculation linking him with a move away from Santiago Bernabeu, Rodrygo is determined to stay at Real Madrid.

This is according to MARCA, which suggests that the Brazilian is keen on remaining at Real Madrid and fighting for his place in the first-team.

Despite all the rumours, no one in the Real Madrid camp has asked him to leave and with his contract not expiring until 2028, the Brazilian has no desire of leaving either.

However, Rodrygo’s prolonged spell at Los Blancos will not bode well for the club knowing the player’s value is bound to go down if he fails to gain regular game-time under Xabi Alonso.

The new Real Madrid coach has already made it clear that he would prefer players such as Guler to be orchestrating things in the final third and that he isn’t afraid to try out new things.

Keeping that in mind, it will be interesting to see if Real Madrid eventually consider a sale of the Brazilian international, perhaps later in the summer.
