Real Madrid eyeing summer move for Ajax star | OneFootball

La Liga giants Real Madrid have set their sights on the signature of a member of the defensive ranks at Dutch outfit Ajax.

That’s according to De Telegraaf, who point towards Jorrel Hato as the player in question.

It is of course common knowledge at this point that the brass at Real Madrid are on the lookout for reinforcements at the back with a view to next season.

This comes with both Dani Carvajal and Éder Militão sidelined long-term, David Alaba just back from an ACL rupture, and confidence waning in Ferland Mendy.

A whole host of defensive talents, in turn, have been tipped as potential arrivals in Spain’s capital.

And, as alluded to above, this week, a new name has been added to this list.

As per a report from De Telegraaf, Jorrel Hato has made his way firmly onto the radar of those behind the scenes at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Hato, for those not familiar with his name, is an 18-year-old defender, capable of lining out in either a central role, or at left-back.

Despite his tender years, the youngster, already a fully established senior international with the Netherlands, has racked up 31 appearances in all competitions this season.

Not only that, but along the way, Hato has chipped in with an impressive three goals and five assists.

And such exploits have evidently not gone unnoticed in Spain, amid the understanding that Real Madrid are taking into real consideration a summer swoop for the Ajax prodigy.
