The brass at La Real Madrid are giving consideration to launching a summer offensive for a member of the attacking ranks at La Liga rivals Osasuna.
That’s according to Diario AS, citing Diario de Noticias, who point towards Ante Budimir as the player in question.
Frontman Budimir is for his part fresh off a spectacular campaign on the books of the aforementioned Osasuna, which saw the Croatian rack up 24 goals and four assists between La Liga and the Copa del Rey.
And such stellar production, evidently, did not go unnoticed behind the scenes at Real Madrid…
Los Blancos, it is understood, are on the lookout for reinforcements at centre-forward with a view to next season, eyeing a player capable of filling the Joselu role: an experienced backup with a different profile to the likes of Kylian Mbappé and Endrick.
And Budimir appears to fit this bill, to the point that Florentino Pérez and co. are considering launching a summer bid for the 33-year-old.
Turkish heavyweights Besiktas are also interested, with it added that, at some point this summer, Budimir’s release clause will drop to just €8 million.
