The brass at La Liga giants Real Madrid have made the call to definitively close the door on the potential departure of a member of the club’s youth ranks this summer.
That’s according to Marca, who point towards Diego Aguado as the player in question.
A whole host of young talents have of course already bid farewell to Real Madrid across the summer to date.
The latest, on Wednesday, was Lorenzo Aguado, who followed the likes of Mario Martín, Chema Andrés and Álvaro Rodríguez out the exit door in Spain’s capital.
One player who, for the time being, will not be following a similar path, though, is the aforementioned Diego Aguado.
Defender Aguado has long been considered a potential star in the making across Spain, giving rise to transfer interest throughout La Liga and beyond.
As revealed by Marca, however:
‘Madrid have blocked all attempts to sign Diego Aguado. The reason is clear: he is a strategic player for Castilla and is on Xabi Alonso’s radar. Thus, the decision is that he will not leave this summer.’
