In the next few weeks, Real Madrid will bid goodbye to manager Carlo Ancelotti and the rest of his coaching staff after a season that has not met up to expectations.

The legendary Italian tactician is headed to the Brazilian national team with an agreement for him to take over as the Selecao head coach already in place.

However, his son and second-in-command at Real Madrid, Davide Ancelotti, is unlikely to follow Carlo to South America.

The 35-year-old is seen as a future manager with great potential with his work behind the scenes widely appreciated at Real Madrid. And it is now expected that he will separate from his father and start his own managerial career.

RB Leipzig, AS Roma eyeing Davide Ancelotti

Indeed, according to reports relayed by Mundo Deportivo, RB Leipzig and AS Roma have set their sights on a potential move for Davide Ancelotti at the end of the season.

In fact, RB Leipzig have already made contact with the Real Madrid assistant coach as they consider candidates for their managerial position.

While an initial approach has been made, the Bundesliga giants do not see him as the leading candidate for the role. The club’s preferred options include Cesc Fabregas (Como) and Oliver Glasner (Crystal Palace).

Meanwhile, in Italy, AS Roma are on the lookout for a replacement for veteran manager Claudio Ranieri.

In the recent past, Ancelotti himself had been touted as a possible option, but with him now headed to Brazil, Davide has emerged as a potential alternative.

It remains to be seen what lies ahead for the 35-year-old, but there appears to be no shortage of suitors as he prepares to begin his independent coaching career at the highest level.
