Rasmus Hojlund wants to stay at Manchester United ands fight for his place in Ruben Amorim’s side next season.

Hojlund has been linked with an exit after struggling for form last season. After an encouraging debut season at Manchester United, Hojlund scored four league goals during a decline in performances in 2024/25.

The Denmark international’s form contributed to a poor campaign for the Red Devils, with only Everton scoring fewer goals among the sides that avoided relegation.

Manchester United are understood to be interested in signing a centre-forward this summer, though Hojlund has no plans to leave. The 22-year-old wants to fight for his place in the side, which has been bolstered creatively by the signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves. United are also working on a deal to sign Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo.

Inter Milan had expressed interest in signing Hojlund, who impressed in Serie A with Atalanta before his move to Old Trafford.

However, Fabrizio Romano is reporting that a potential deal is now in stand-by. Hojlund will only consider an exit if United inform him that he does not feature in their plans for the upcoming campaign.

Speaking to his YouTube channel, Romano said: “Hojlund is not pushing to Leave Manchester United. Hojlund would love to stay at Man United, would love to continue at United, would love to do his best for Man United again in the new season. So, Hojlund would really hope and love to stay at Manchester United.

“The only possibility for Hojlund to go is if Manchester United decide to let him go, to sell him, to make profit with him and all these kind of things. If Manchester United decide Hojlund has to go then he has to go.”
