Marcus Rashford made his debut for Barcelona in preseason and even went on to score his first goal for the team in the event. Earlier this week, he even made his official debut coming off the bench against Mallorca.

Given the relatively long hiatus he has had from regular minutes, the Englishman was understandably rusty and is still recovering his confidence and ability to be decisive in the final third.

Knowing Hansi Flick and his ability to get the best out of players, however, one would assume it’s only a matter of time before the player returns to his peak and becomes an effective option for the Catalans.

Rashford’s interview

Speaking to SPORT in a recent interview, the English star was asked to select the player at the club who was the most underrated by the media and fans, to which he said,

“It’s difficult, everyone is very good. But from what he does for the team I think Frenkie.”

Rashford was then asked who the most talented player he played with was, and he picked one of Barcelona’s young sensations as his choice of reply.

“Lamine [Yamal],” he said, showering high praise on the No. 10.

Keeping the rapid fire going, he was asked who the funniest and best dressed players at the club were, to which he revealed the details from behind the scenes.

“Gavi,” he admitted was the funniest.

“Kounde, maybe,” he added on the best dressed player.

Finally, the former Manchester United star was asked if he would prefer winning the UEFA Champions League with Barcelona or the FIFA World Cup with England.

“Both of them,” he said.
