The FIFA Club World Cup takes place this summer in the first-ever edition of the tournament in its expanded format.

FIFA have relaunched the competition with 32 teams from across the planet competing for glory. Previously an annual tournament, in 2025 the Club World Cup is bigger than ever before. Some of world football’s biggest clubs will take part, including the Champions League and Copa Libertadores winners from recent seasons.

There’s also huge prize money at stake, so the competing sides will be eager to make an impression in a summer-long festival of football in the United States. Ahead of the tournament’s kick-off on June 15, we’ve looked at how the online bookmakers view the favourites for success. Here are the favourites to win the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

Chelsea – 9/1

Chelsea earned qualification to the tournament courtesy of their 2021 Champions League win. The West Londoners lifted their first Club World Cup after that tournament and now take part in the ground-breaking first edition in this format.

Enzo Maresca led Chelsea to a top-four finish in the Premier League this season, while there’s a chance of silverware before the season’s end. The Blues face Real Betis in the Europa Conference League before jetting to the USA for the Club World Cup.

Paris Saint-Germain – 8/1

Paris Saint-Germain have been one of Europe’s most impressive outfits in 2024/25.

The Parisian giants have completed a domestic treble in France, while Luis Enrique’s team will take on Inter Milan in the Champions League final this weekend. A historic quintet is still possible for PSG, ahead of their Club World Cup participation this summer.

Granted entry as the second-best ranked eligible team in the UEFA four-year ranking, PSG could become France’s first Club World Cup winners. A successful summer could solidify Ousmane Dembele’s claim for the Ballon d’Or.

Bayern Munich – 13/2

Bayern Munich are one of just four clubs to have won multiple Club World Cup trophies, sealing success in 2013 and 2020.

The German giants are back on top in the Bundesliga after reclaiming the title from Bayer Leverkusen in 2024/25.

Vincent Kompany’s side finished 13 points clear at the summit, with Harry Kane again leading Germany’s top flight for goals scored. After breaking his infamous trophy drought this season, the England captain will want more.

Real Madrid – 9/2

No side has ever won the Club World Cup more than Real Madrid, who are the joint-favourites for success this summer.

The Spaniards have endured a tough season, but head into this summer’s tournament embarking on a new era.

Carlo Ancelotti has stepped down to take charge of Brazil, with former favourite Xabi Alonso taking the reigns. The latter led Bayer Leverkusen to a historic season in 2023/24 and excitement is high for his tenure.

Dean Huijsen, a recent £50m recruit from Bournemouth, could make his Real Madrid debut in the US.

Manchester City – 9/2

Manchester City are the joint-favourites as the Citizens target a second Club World Cup. Pep Guardiola’s side qualified after their 2023 Champions League win and will be determined to bounce back from a trophyless 2024/25 season.

Rodri’s return will boost their chances after the Spaniard made his first appearance since September earlier this month. The influential midfielder has recovered from an ACL injury and will hope to step up his minutes at the tournament.

He won the Best Player Award when City last lifted this trophy in 2023.
