Claudio Ranieri insists on Leandro Paredes’ centrality in Roma’s long-term plans.
Paredes is one of the names that has attracted the interest of several international clubs during this transfer window, and especially already in the first half of the season, during which Boca Juniors, the club where the Argentine midfielder grew up, showed strong interest in bringing him back to his homeland.
Claudio Ranieri, however, has been clear: Paredes is central to Roma’s plans and will not be sold.
Despite the economic difficulties that could push towards some sales, as Il Corriere dello Sport writes, Roma’s management currently considers Paredes an irreplaceable element to guarantee quality and vision of the game in the middle of the field.
The decision to keep him, therefore, shows the Giallorossi’s desire to focus on a solid base, at least until the end of the season.
