After a thumping 5-0 victory over Manchester City, Arsenal had to suffer a 2-0 loss against Newcastle United in the second leg of the EFL Cup semi-final round. Hence, they will be eager to return to the winning ways this weekend.

The Gunners will next lock horns with Leicester City in the Premier League. They are second on the points table and have fair chances to go after the league title. Hence, Mikel Arteta’s men cannot afford to drop even a single point at this stage.

Defence

David Raya made a silly mistake in the previous game but he should be retained between the sticks for this game. No change at the right-back spot as Jurrien Timber keeps his position in the lineup.

William Saliba and Gabriel need to put on better performances in the defence. The duo is a proven combination but has faded away in recent weeks. Myles Lewis-Skelly could be finding himself on the initial team sheet once again.

Midfield

Highly unlikely that Mikel Arteta will alter anyone from the midfield unit. The trio of Thomas Partey, Martin Odegaard, and Declan Rice are expected to be deployed in the middle of the park yet again.

Attack

The Gunners will be without the services of Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz as they both suffered an injury. This allows Arteta to keep Leandro Trossard in the front line while Ethan Nwaneri and Raheem Sterling are expected to fill the other two spots.

Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kai Havertz consists the injury list for the Gunners for this game.
