Racing have turned down an offer from Roma for Argentine centreback Marco Di Cesare.

Roma are in fact looking for a central defender to give to Claudio Ranieri in view of next January.

Among the names mentioned, Marco Di Cesare of Racing appears on top of Roma’s shortlist.

The Giallorossi, writes Repubblica, have offered 10 million euros (7+3 bonus) for the right-footed central defender.

This figure, however, was considered insufficient by the Argentines, who aim to collect all 15 million euros that the release clause in Di Cesare’s contract entails.
