Yoram Zague (18) has been relied upon more frequently as Paris Saint-Germain’s league campaign wound to a close. Four starts and a goal have been a solid return for an academy player who was largely brought into the squad as a means to provide the more senior players with a break.

Despite an impressive performance against OGC Nice during the week, Zague’s immediate future at the club remains unclear. The captain of the U19s has signed a professional contract with the club which will come into effect on the 1st of July, but he likely will not see the same level of playing time next season as he is currently experiencing.

Bad news for Yoram Zague’s immediate future

According to Le Parisien, PSG are keen to sell Nordi Mukiele (26) in the summer and secure a more established understudy to Achraf Hakimi (25), which means that Zague will probably be limited to just Coupe de France appearances. The club have not shown an indication either way on whether they will look to loan Zague next season, nor is it clear whether Zague would be willing to take a step away from the club.
