Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyökeres is drawing a lot of interest, and given his performance to start the 2024-25 season, these clubs might take action next year to solve any goal-scoring issues.
CaughtOffside reported on Wednesday, citing sources, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and PSG are currently the key players to watch in the race for Gyökeres.
The report highlights that Tottenham have emerged as the most interested in Gyökeres. Chelsea are also keeping him as a potential option, as they are expected to make another attempt at Victor Osimhen in January or next summer.
PSG also admire Gyökeres and have an excellent relationship with Sporting. However, CaughtOffside reveals that any move would likely depend on whether the club decide to part ways with Gonçalo Ramos or Randal Kolo Muani after this season, which has not yet been determined.
The latest information on Gyökeres comes from transfer expert Graeme Bailey, who reports that Arsenal and Chelsea sent scouts to Portugal on Tuesday night to monitor the Swedish goal-scorer.
Gyökeres found the net on Tuesday as Sporting secured a 2-0 victory over LOSC in the Champions League. So far, he’s proving himself in Portugal’s top flight, with an impressive record of 52 goals and 18 assists in just 57 appearances since joining Sporting in 2023.
