Maghnes Akliouche could be on the move this summer, with Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City keeping a close eye on the AS Monaco midfielder. The 23-year-old has been one of Ligue 1’s breakout stars this season and may be ready for a new challenge.
Manchester United have also entered the race, according to a report from L’Équipe last month, setting up a potential battle with their city rivals for Akliouche’s signature.
A summer exit appears increasingly likely, with Monaco valuing him between €70 million and €80 million. Despite the steep asking price, interest from City, PSG, and United remains strong.

RMC journalist Maxime Tillier shared on After Foot that PSG is closely monitoring the situation of the Monegasque attacking midfielder and confirmed the price it will take to sign him this summer.
“AS Monaco’s goal is to keep securing top-three finishes to build long-term stability, but some departures are expected this summer,” Tillier said (h/t Le10Sport).
“Maghnes Akliouche is likely to be one of them, with this being his first full breakout season at 23. Monaco are reportedly asking for €70 million. PSG are interested, and that interest appears to be mutual. Several other clubs are also in the mix.”
This information prompted a reaction from Walid Acherchour on the After Foot set. The pundit suggested that few clubs will be able to spend that much in the upcoming summer transfer window.
“At €70 million, there isn’t a big market,” Acherchour said. “It’s PSG or the Premier League.”
This month, 90min France reported that Manchester City and PSG have intensified their pursuit, making a summer move seem more probable.
Monaco are willing to sell and have set their asking price at approximately €70 million. Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is a big fan of Akliouche. The Frenchman brings versatility, dribbling, and left-footed skill. Furthermore, he’s seen as a potential replacement for Bernardo Silva.
