The January transfer window is open, and Paris Saint-Germain could still make a deal or two before the deadline. However, the club might also be focusing on their summer plans to strengthen the squad for Year 3 under Luis Enrique.

Under their new transfer policy led by sporting advisor Luis Campos, PSG are focusing on young talent who haven’t fully reached their potential yet or are about to enter their prime years.

In recent transfer windows, PSG have brought in players like Bradley Barcola, João Neves, Désiré Doué, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia—all of whom are 23 or younger. It looks like the capital club could be aiming to add another young talent to their roster.

PSG are keen on an Argentine teenage standout

Fichajes reports that Valentino Acuña has started to catch the eye of top European clubs. After impressing with two assists in Argentina’s win over Brazil in the first game of the 2025 South American U-20 Championship, three major clubs—Inter Milan, PSG, and Borussia Dortmund—have shown interest in him.

Acuña, who came up through the youth ranks at Newell’s Old Boys, has already made a name for himself in the Argentine league. Although the 19-year-old’s contract with Newell’s Old Boys runs through December 2026, these clubs may act fast if his performances continue to impress in this tournament.
