A new goalkeeper is set to arrive at Paris Saint-Germain in the coming days, and it could force another one out.
Despite proving reliable when called upon, Arnau Tenas (24) has struggled for game time since trading Barcelona for PSG back in 2023. He initially found himself behind Gianluigi Donnarumma in the pecking order, whilst Matvey Safonov’s arrival last summer further limited the Spaniard’s game time.
Lucas Chevalier is now set to join from Lille OSC. PSG’s intention is to sell Donnarumma, who has one year remaining on his deal, however, the list of suitors is far from inexhaustible and due to the Italian’s wage demands, options for him are looking limited. The prospect of Donnarumma therefore staying, despite Chevalier’s imminent arrival, cannot be ruled out, even if it is a situation that Les Parisiens are looking to avoid.
That would leave Tenas as the fourth-choice goalkeeper. PSG may therefore look to offload the Spaniard, and according to L’Équipe, they would look for a fee of around €6m.
