PSG could find itself in a four-way transfer battle with Arsenal, AC Milan, and Juventus for a promising young Spanish talent. With Luis Enrique working wonders in the French capital, particularly with young players, could PSG lure this standout defender from Spain to Paris?
While PSG boasts one of the strongest defenses in Ligue 1, signs of wear and tear are beginning to show after a grueling season. Lucas Hernandez is still working his way back to full fitness following a serious injury, and captain Marquinhos no longer has the same explosiveness he had in his early 20s.
Presnel Kimpembe remains a key figure off the pitch, but his reliability as a short- or medium-term option is in question. As for Lucas Beraldo, Luis Enrique values his potential, though the young defender is still a bit too raw to be anything more than a backup for now.

On Tuesday, Foot Mercato reported that Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera is on PSG’s transfer radar this summer to continue injecting youth into the center-back position. A 20-year-old Spanish international prospect, this strong central defender is powerful, fast, and tough in duels. A key player for Valencia, the Alicante native could be sold by the club to boost its finances.
Fichajes recently reported that PSG have already begun planning for life after Marquinhos, with the club targeting Mosquera. The decision to move on from Marquinhos isn’t solely based on his form.
At 30, the Brazilian still holds solid market value, and selling him would free up wages and generate funds that could be reinvested to strengthen other areas of the squad.
Cadena SER’s latest report suggests Arsenal are preparing a summer bid for the Spanish-Colombian defender. The English club is reportedly willing to offer around €20 million, a fee that Valencia views as fair for one of their top young talents.
However, Mosquera has several suitors ahead of the summer transfer window. As a result, PSG and Arsenal face competition for the defender, with AC Milan and Juventus also having been linked with him in the past.
