With Real Madrid’s attack set to welcome Kylian Mbappe and Endrick this summer, the offensive depth of the team is anticipated to improve considerably.

But Real Madrid have not ignored their compulsion to fortify other areas of the squad, with the pursuit of a centre-back signing also taking precedence.

To that end, Leny Yoro has been a name liked by the club’s hierarchy, as the youngster hailing from Lille has shown immense potential at the tender age of 18.

However, Yoro’s signing is not expected to come about easily and the entrance of a new competitor in the race may harm the Merengues’ prospects of acquiring his signature.

PSG enter the fray

Indeed, according to Fabrice Hawkins, PSG have intensified their pursuit of Leny Yoro.

The Parisian team is ready to pay Lille’s demanded transfer price of approximately €60 million and is confident in their abilities to secure his signature.

Moreover, the report adds that Real Madrid and Liverpool have also expressed interest in Yoro.

The young French centre-back is viewed as a significant asset for Los Blancos‘ future, as they are constantly searching for new talent.

That said, Real Madrid recognizes that overpaying for a teenager, who still lacks polish and has only a year left on his contract, is not the smartest course of action. Thus the club is not ready to break the bank on him.

Yoro must push for Madrid move

The player, for his part, is keen on joining Real Madrid and considers the club his ‘dream destination.

Even so, Madrid wants him to be more than just an admirer and actually push for the move with the help of his agent, Jorge Mendes.

After all, Lille would have little choice but to comply if Yoro stays put and rejects other offers, or else they risk losing him for nothing in 2025.
