Leeds United Women travel north as they take on Middlesbrough Women in their next FA WNL Division One North fixture.
Following a postponement last time out as the scheduled clash against Stockport County fell foul of the weather, the match will be the Whites’ first outing of 2025.
The mouth-watering tie will see two sides chasing promotion do battle on Teesside, with United out for revenge after a cruel late goal saw Boro claim all three points in the reverse fixture at the Bannister Prentice Stadium.
Since then, Simon Wood’s side have won seven of their next eight matches, only falling to defeat once at the hands of AFC Fylde prior to the Christmas break.
Leeds sit third in the standings, one point adrift of leaders Chorley and with a game in hand on the Lancashire outfit, with Middlesbrough four points further behind in fifth position.
Due to cup commitments, Michael Mulhern’s side have not played a league match since November, where they were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Barnsley, a week after falling to a 3-0 defeat away at Doncaster Rovers Belles.
The encounter may offer fans the chance to see new signing Ria Montgomery in action for the first time for the Whites, after the versatile full-back joined the club from rivals Huddersfield Town.
Action from Stockton Town gets underway at 2pm.
Welcome Ria!
Ticket information:
Tickets are priced at £5 for adults and entry for Under-16s is free. The address for the game is: Stockton Town FC, Bishopton Road West, Stockton on Tees, TS19 0QD
