Leeds United and Preston North End face each other this Saturday at Elland Road in Matchweek 42 of the EFL Championship. The match will be broadcast live at 12:30 on Sky Sports +.

After a slump in form saw them knocked off their perch, Leeds have rallied and regained top spot courtesy of a 0-1 win against Middlesbrough midweek.

Preston, meanwhile, have won 49 points to date and sit 16th in the second tier. Last time out, Paul Heckingbottom's team drew 2-2 against relegation-threatened Cardiff City.

The last meeting between the Whites and the Lilywhites saw the spoils shared following a 1-1 draw.

The Fan Zone

Sam (AllDayLUFC): Back to winning ways against a strong Boro side, Farke’s team now simply have to follow that up with another win after being gifted the league lead once again by Sheffield United and Burnley slipping up.

Preston are a tricky side under Paul Heckingbottom as they’ll sit deep and make it difficult for us to find space in behind.

Yet another early kick off slot for Leeds too, one which we’ve not won in since December.

Prediction: 1-0

Martin Ryan (@PNEFC_Stats): Former Leeds manager Paul Heckingbottom takes his current Preston side to Elland Road looking to improve on a run of just one win in the last 10 Championship matches.

Preston dropped to 16th after the midweek results, conceding a 94th minute equaliser against Cardiff to throw away two points.

Preston are winless in the league in the last six games at Leeds since a 6-4 win back in September 2010.

Sam Greenwood can’t play against his parent club whilst Andrew Hughes continues to manage a hernia problem, but should play. Ali McCann and Brad Potts are likely to miss out once again through injury.

Prediction: 2-0
