Jonathan David has agreed a deal to join Juventus with the forward set to sign on a free transfer.
David has been one of the most in-demand free agents of the summer after deciding to leave Lille at the end of his contract.
Clubs across England and Europe had expressed interest in signing the Canadian striker, who scored 109 goals in 232 games for the French side.
David has now decided Juventus as his next club. Fabrizio Romano is reporting that an agreement has been reached between all parties. The 25-year-old is set to travel to Turin for a medical before completing the formalities of the transfer.
The forward has scored 25+ goals in three consecutive campaigns and his arrival is a huge coup for new head coach Igor Tudor. Juventus ended the 2024/25 campaign fourth in Serie A and without silverware. It’s been five years since Juventus last lifted the Scudetto.
David joins a Juventus attack that has uncertainty over several names. Dusan Vlahovic has entered the final 12 months of his contract with the Italian side and has been linked with an exit.
Randal Kolo Muani impressed on loan from Paris Saint-Germain last season but no agreement has been reached over a potential extension.
