The battle for second place in the league standing continues as Milan aim to go clear of competition by defeating chasing pack Juventus.

Juventus scraped past Lazio in the semi-finals in their previous outing to reach the Coppa Italia finals. Federico Chiesa and Dusan Vlahovic gave them a headstart in the first-leg and the Biancocelesti equalised the scores on aggregate with a brace from Taty Castellanos in the second. The Bianconceri held onto their nerves and Arkadiusz Milik’s late strike stood the difference between the two sides. Manuel Locatelli was the lone scorer of the match when Juventus last met Milan earlier this season as they will hope to earn a victory by fine margins tomorrow by defending well. They have conceded the joint second-least goals in the Serie A this campaign after Scudetto champions Inter and it is set to be a hard-fought match for the two sides.

Meanwhile, Milan come into this match on the back of a humiliating 2-1 defeat at the hands of neighbourhood rivals Inter as the victory helped the Nerazzurri clinch the Scudetto in front of their fans at the San Siro. Fikayo Tomori’s 80th-minute header gave the Rossoneri some hope to equalise the deficit but they could not find their stride throughout the match and fell to yet another loss. Manager Stefano Pioli is expected to be relieved of his duties at the end of this season as the derby loss piled on more misery following the defeat to Roma, which saw his team bow out of the Europa League. Finishing as runner-ups in the league would still be considered respectful but the five-point lead could be jeopardised if they lose tomorrow.

Here are the predicted line-ups for the match:

Juventus (3-5-2): Szczesny; Gatti, Bremer, Danilo; Cambiaso, McKennie, Locatelli, Rabiot, Kostic; Chiesa, Vlahovic

Milan (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Musah, Thiaw, Gabbia, Florenzi; Adli, Reijnders; Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek, Leao; Giroud
