A Portugal side featuring Paris Saint-Germain’s Nuno Mendes, João Neves, Gonçalo Ramos and Vitinha beat Spain 5-3 on penalties after a 2-2 draw last night in the final of the 2024–2025 UEFA Nations League at the Allianz Arena.
While Portugal became the first nation ever to win this competition twice (in 2019 and 2025), Paris's Portuguese quartet lifted the UNL trophy for the very first time in their careers last night, at the expense of Fabián Ruiz, who was part of the Spain squad defending its 2024 title.
As well as scoring a first-half equaliser for his side, Mendes went on to convert his spot kick in the penalty shootout, as did Vitinha and Ramos, which eventually saw our four players triumph once again in Munich, having won the UEFA Champions League there just a week prior.
