Wolverhampton Wanderers are close to securing their second signing of the January window after they have agreed a deal for Red Star Belgrade defender Nasser Djiga.
Wolves are desperate to bolster their backline in the winter market, and they have left it late until the deadline to bring in another centre-back.
Sky Sports earlier today that Wolves have made a bid in the region of £10 million to sign the Burkina Faso international.
Wolves conceded 52 goals in the Premier League already, and Vitor Perriera was adamant to sign one centre-back and a midfielder before the deadline.
According to Fabrizio Romano (who shared an exclusive picture), Djiga is on his way for his medical at Wolves. The fee has been agreed, and the player is travelling now.
He is travelling with his agent, Marcel Veerman, to complete his move to Wolves.
Wolves were leading the race to sign Kevin Danso, but Tottenham hijacked their deal over the weekend. It was a big transfer blow for them, but the fans will be delighted if they manage to complete his signature before the 11 pm deadline.
The 22-year-old has made over 50 appearances for Belgrade in the past two seasons since joining from FC Basel.
Wolves have already signed Emmanuel Agbadou from Reims for a fee of around £16.6 million, and they are reportedly trying to sign Stade de Reims midfielder Marshall Munetsi on the deadline day.
