A photo of Barcelona star Pau Cubarsí has turned heads across the club’s fanbase on Sunday evening.

This comes after the youngster was spotted sporting his new squad number for the very first time.

Barcelona, of course, are fresh off bidding farewell to a leading member of the club’s defensive ranks from last season.

This comes after Iñigo Martínez made the call to bring a close to the Blaugrana chapter of his career, putting pen to paper on terms with Saudi outfit Al-Nassr on Saturday.

As much saw Iñigo’s no.5 shirt become available for the taking, with the aforementioned Pau Cubarsí having quickly been labelled as the favourite to take ownership of the jersey.

And as alluded to above, on Sunday, precisely that has been confirmed.

As showcased below, amid preparations for tonight’s Joan Gamper Trophy, Cubarsí was spotted donning shorts featuring the number 5, recognition of the starlet’s importance in Hansi Flick’s squad:
