Tuesday night was a special one for FC Barcelona teenage prodigy Pau Cubarsi as he scored his first-ever senior goal for the team during the 4-4 draw against Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final at Montjuic.
The La Masia gem headed the ball into the back of the net in the first period, helping Barça equalise after they had let in two goals in the first five minutes of the game.
With his strike against Atletico Madrid, Pau Cubarsi has now become the youngest defender to score a goal for Barcelona in La Liga, Copa del Rey, and the UEFA Champions League.

With his goal, the teenager beat the record previously held by Francisco Calvet, who scored so on 7 April 1940 at 18 years and 189 days old in a La Liga game against Hercules.
Former right-back Sergino Dest is the youngest Barcelona defender to score in the Champions League, netting against Dynamo Kyiv on 24 November 2020, at 20 years and 21 days.
Cubarsi, who now sits at the top of the list that also includes his teammates like Alejandro Balde, Ronald Araujo, and Eric Garcia, celebrated his first goal for Barcelona by passionately kissing the club badge, a gesture that resonated with the Blaugrana faithful.
One of the permanent fixtures in Hansi Flick’s team despite being only 18 years old, Cubarsi recently signed a new long-term contract with Barcelona until 2028.
