Crystal Palace have appealed their demotion from the UEFA Europa League to the UEFA Europa Conference League to Court of Arbitration.
According to BBC Sport, Palaces' appeal is against UEFA, Lyon, and Nottingham Forest after multi-club ownership rules meant that the Eagles had been demoted to the Europa League despite winning the 2024/25 FA Cup.
John Textor, the majority owner of Lyon, reduced his stake in Palace with the club stating that he does not hold decisive influence. However, the London club missed the deadline to show proof.
Nottingham Forest have been rumoured to be taking Palace's place in the Europa League for the 2025/26 season but should the appeal be accepted by CAS then they could remain in the Europa Conference League. The Eagles are hoping to take either Forest of Lyon's spot in the tournament.
Any decision made by CAS is expected to be made before or on August 11th with the league phase of the Europa League set to be drawn on August 29th.
