Things are already tense at FC Barcelona, and that is primarily due to the situation of one player. While most operations are still underway, there is an internal matter that needs to be resolved. This particular matter involves a certain Barcelona captain oddly enough.
The player in question is none other than 33-year-old Marc-Andre Ter Stegen. Despite having held the starting position in between the sticks for quite a lot of years at the club, it seems that his position is no longer as safe as it once was.

With the arrival of Joan Garcia confirmed and the player now being seen as the club’s choice to start next season, Ter Stegen has not exactly taken kindly to that news. In fact, his most recent decision since returning to the club facilities is definitely worrying.
According to AS, the German goalkeeper decided to stay back at the gym and not join the rest of his teammates out on the pitch at the Ciutat Esportiva. Without him, the other three goalkeepers trained as per normal on the pitch together.
The likes of Wojciech Szczesny, Joan Garcia, and even Inaki Pena were seen training together. Interestingly, the latter is most certainly going to be leaving Barcelona this summer, yet he still chose to join the training session and stay committed to his duties.
Ter Stegen’s case, however, is becoming increasingly frustrating for Barcelona. The club is reportedly actively looking for a way out for him, and reports have even claimed that his agent is also looking at other potential destinations in case he changes his mind about leaving.
Either way, it is clear to see that all the involved sides have reached a point of no return. He might want to fight for the top spot in the team again, but with an attitude like this and the actions that are being reported, Barcelona may have to resolve this issue sooner rather than later.
