On the eve of his side's UEFA Champions League Matchday 7 clash with Manchester City at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday 22 January (21:00), Paris Saint-Germain striker Ousmane Dembélé appeared at a press conference and answered questions from PSG TV. Excerpts.
'I'm feeling much better. I had the flu but I've been feeling better since Saturday. I feel ready, I feel good. I'm trying to contribute to the team. We're creating a lot of chances, so I'm getting opportunities. My team-mates put me in the best possible position to make assists and score goals. I've been effective in recent matches. We know we're going to have to score on Wednesday to win this game and I'm going to try and score.'
'We know that Manchester City are a great team. They've won the Premier League six times in the last seven years. We're going to have to be focused because they have great players, a great striker, great defenders and a great coach. After that, anything is possible in a match. We're going to play our game, especially as we'll be in front of our fans. We have a lot of confidence in ourselves.'
'There's no special pressure. We're preparing for the match calmly, as usual. We're going to try and apply the coach's instructions in order to win. We prepare for all our matches, calmly and with great concentration.'
'We're going to give it our all on Wednesday, making the most of our fans and the weapons at our disposal. We've prepared well for this match. We'll have to find something a bit extra, but we'll also have to be instinctive and disciplined. We're going to give it everything we've got. I think we've deserved more points from the other games. But that's football. We'll need the support of the fans to keep us going for 95 minutes, whatever happens in the game. We're going to give it everything we've got.'
