🎥 OTD 2012: Agüero scored the most famous PL goal to win the title | OneFootball

Agüeroooooooo.

It's a goal and piece of commentary that has become immortalised in the annals of both Premier League and English football history, and it happened on this day in 2012.

While the goal is unsurprisingly what is remembered most from that famous day at the Etihad Stadium, there was just so much more drama.

City had taken the lead through Pablo Zabaleta, but most fans definitely still feared the worst, and when Djibril Cissé capitalised on a major error from Joleon Lescott to equalise for QPR, "Cityitis" appeared to be rearing its head again.

Another moment of madness from Joey Barton gave his former club a helping hand, but Jamie Mackie remarkably put the Rs ahead and the title looked to be on its way to the red side of Manchester.

Edin Džeko gave his side a late lifeline with an oft-forgotten goal, and the rest, as they say, is history.

It remains the most iconic moment of the post-1992 top flight era, and it's hard to imagine it ever being topped.
