The 46-year-old Moroccan tactician made his philosophy clear: "I deeply believe in African competence. South Africa has top-tier graduates, people with elite coaching badges right here. If I imported my own staff, what message would that send? That Africans aren’t capable? No—we must trust our own."

He left a bold promise: "Give me time to assess local expertise, and I’ll prove we already have the right people. Confidence in homegrown talent is key."
