On Sunday afternoon, Tottenham Hotspur return to Premier League after a successful night in the Europa League, when they make the short trip to fellow London side Brentford on Sunday afternoon. A lot of games played on a Sunday aren't televised in the UK, but this one is live on Sky Sports.

What we can expect from Brentford ahead of this showdown

Brentford currently sit in 11th place in the Premier League, with 31 points from 23 games. Quite a middling side, in general. However, at their home - the GTech community stadium - they tend to be a different beast.

Admittedly, their superb home form has waned recently, picking up just one point from the last four games, but despite that they are fourth in the home table. All four of those games were against the current Premier League top four, and they pulled off an impressive draw from 2-0 down to Manchester City during that run.

So, overall, when not playing the very best teams in the league, they have been excellent at home, and we can expect this to be a very tough game from start to finish. The last time this fixture was played marked Ange Postecoglu's first game in charge of Spurs. Oh how much has changed since then.

As for their threats, there are quite a few. Most notably Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa, whom have superbly villed the void left by Ivan Toney - as they did when the striker was suspended for the first six months of last season.

In the Premier League this season, Mbeumo has scored 14 goals, provided three assists, and created 10 big chances in 23 Premier League games. He is either scoring or providing a big chance at a rate of better than once a game. Just superb consistency from a top player.

Meanwhile, in 20 Premier League outings, Wissa has scored 11 goals, notching at a rate every 144 minutes. Behind them, Mikkel Damsgaard is showing the potential everyone thought he had when he scored a free-kick against England in a Euros semi final. The 24-year old has eight assists and 10 big chances created this season, playing a big part in the Bees' transition to a more attack minded team.

At the back, they can be got at. They have conceded 40 goals in their 23 games this season, which is three more than Spurs. Even at home, where they are much, much better - they have conceded 23 in 12 games, nearly two a game.

So, to summarise - a very good and fun team, with serious weapons that can hurt Spurs - but not a side without flaws, understandably - and Ange's side must look to exploit that. Should be quite an intense and energetic game, let's just hope Spurs can come out as winners.
