An insight into the latest developments at the training ground of La Liga giants Barcelona has on Thursday come to the fore online.

The info comes courtesy of Mundo Deportivo, and points towards one new face, and one ongoing absentee being under the watch of manager Hansi Flick.

When it comes to the former, youngster Andrés Cuenca was the player called up, rewarded for his efforts with Barca Atlètic.

Turning attentions towards those to have missed out, on the other hand, the most notable, once more, was Eric García.

Defender Eric was forced to sit out each of Barcelona’s last three outings, owing to a foot injury suffered in the warmup for the club’s La Liga meeting with Sevilla two weeks ago.

The former Manchester City man was earlier this week spotted back in group training, but was since forced to sit out on both Wednesday and Thursday.

His status to feature in the derby against Espanyol this weekend, as a result, remains up in the air.

All of Ronald Araújo, Marc-André ter Stegen, Andreas Christensen, Marc Bernal and Ferran Torres, meanwhile, remain on the treatment table.
