Jean-Clair Todibo (24) may not be going to Manchester United but he is still expected to leave OGC Nice this summer. As a result, Le Gym are already creating a shortlist of potential replacements.

Todibo, after another accomplished season at the Allianz Riviera, is expected to move on this summer. He had been a key target for Manchester United, however, with both clubs competing in the UEFA Europa League next season, UEFA’s multi-club rules have proven a sticking point. According to Sacha Tavaolieri, the Red Devils have hired lawyers in a bid to challenge the ruling.

Regardless of whether that proves successful, Todibo will still likely depart. The Premier League looks like the most likely destination currently, however, the France international has plenty of possibilities. Danilho Doekhi (26) is being considered by Nice as a replacement for Todibo, according to L’Équipe.

He is one of many players with whom Les Aiglons have opened discussions for the soon-to-be vacant centre-back slot. However, a deal won’t be easy. The Union Berlin centre-back is also garnering Premier League interest. Doekhi, who is looking to break into the Netherlands team, wants to leave the German club this summer and they are willing to facilitate that, should a fee in the region of €10-12m arrive. That fee should not be an issue for Nice, should they garner the fee they would expect from Todibo.
