La Liga outfit Villarreal have on Friday made official a pair of departures from the club’s first-team squad.
The pair to have moved on? Denis Suárez, and Yeremy Pino.
Beginning with the former, midfielder Suárez had long been tipped to bring an imminent close to his latest Yellow Submarine stint.
This comes with the former Arsenal man not featuring prominently in the plans of boss Marcelino for the season ahead.
In turn, on Friday, Villarreal have announced the official termination of Suárez’s contract:
And swiftly following was a further statement regarding teammate Yeremy Pino.
Attacker Pino’s name had emerged as an altogether prominent one in the transfer headlines across Spain and England alike over the week to date.
As much came after word was forthcoming that Premier League outfit Crystal Palace had set their sights firmly on the 22-year-old, as a potential replacement for Eberechi Eze.
And as alluded to above, on Friday, his Selhurst Park switch has been made official.
As per a statement across Villarreal’s website and social media platforms:
‘Villarreal CF and Crystal Palace have reached an agreement for the transfer of Yeremy Pino, who will join the English side ahead of the 2025/26 season.’
