Tijjani Reijnders has officially left Milan to join the Premier League.
Tijji was the highlight of Milan in the horrible 2024/25 season, even winning Serie A Best Midfielder Award, but he will not be wearing Red and Black next year.
It was known for weeks, but today it finally became official: the Dutchman has joined Manchester City and Pep Guardiola.
“Milan can confirm that Tijjani Reijnders has joined Manchester City FC on a permanent deal. The Club would like to thank Tijjani for the commitment and professionalism he has always shown and wishes him all the best for the future on both a personal and professional level,” a statement reads.
Reijnders signed a new contract with Milan until 2030 just last March, but a few months later – like Thiago Silva in 2012 – he is no longer with the Rossoneri.
The details of the deal, as reported by Matteo Moretto, are €57m + €14m in bonuses. In addition, Reijnders’ former team AZ Alkmaar are owed 10%.
