Official: Real Madrid star included in Club World Cup Team of the Week | OneFootball

A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has secured for himself a place in the official Club World Cup Team of the Week.

The player in question? Gonzalo García.

Frontman Gonzalo is for his part fresh off another outing to remember at the Club World Cup, on Tuesday night.

Afforded his latest starting berth in Real Madrid’s Last-16 showdown with Italian heavyweights Juventus, the 21-year-old went on to notch the only goal of the game, early in the 2nd-half.

This makes it four direct goal contributions in four appearances at the stateside tournament this summer.

And as alluded to above, Gonzalo’s most recent efforts have now been aptly recognised by the CWC organisers.

As confirmed across social media, the Spanish hitman has been included in the official Team of the Round for the Last-16.

Gonzalo is joined in the XI by the likes of Reece James, Achraf Hakimi and Harry Kane.
