Following the two-week international break, La Liga returns to action this weekend with champions Real Madrid set to take on Real Sociedad away at the Reale Arena on Saturday night.
Considering that Carlo Ancelotti’s side have already dropped twice in four games this season, tomorrow’s encounter holds great importance as another slip-up would present Barcelona an opportunity to stretch their lead at the top even further.
Heading into the game, Ancelotti has now released the squad list of players who will be making the trip to San Sebastian for the game against La Real.
As confirmed earlier today, the injured duo of Jude Bellingham and Aurelien Tchouameni miss out in a major blow for Real Madrid. They are joined by Dani Ceballos, Eduardo Camavinga and David Alaba on the list of absentees.
The good news, however, is that Eder Militao and Ferland Mendy, who suffered injuries last week, have recovered fully and are back in the squad. Jesus Vallejo, too, is fit and available, and makes it to the list.
Meanwhile, there are a couple of new faces in the squad in the form of young midfielder Chema Andres, who experiences his first call-up, and goalkeeper Sergio Mestre, who is also called up for the first time after joining from Atletico Madrid this past summer.
