Official: Raphinha named in Brazil squad for World Cup qualifiers amid red-hot form | OneFootball

Raphinha is going through a brilliant run of form at FC Barcelona and has currently established himself as one of the best wingers in Europe.

The 28-year-old Barça captain scored the only goal of the game for his team in their recent win against Benfica earlier this week and now has the most goal contributions in the UEFA Champions League this season.

Raphinha has now been called up by the Brazilian national team for their upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifying matches later this month amid his hot streak.

The Selecao will take on Colombia at home on March 20 before facing off against bitter rivals Argentina away on March 25.

Raphinha, given his form, will be expected to start in both matches and play an integral role for the Canarinha, who are currently placed fifth in the World Cup qualifying table, seven points behind leaders Argentina.

Interestingly, former Barcelona superstar Neymar, who has been heavily linked with a return to the club, has been recalled into the national team after more than a year, thanks to his improved form since re-signing for Santos in January.
