OGC Nice have officially signed 23 year-old Swedish attacker Isak Jansson, who joins from Austrian Bundesliga side Rapid Wien.

L’Equipe reports that the deal is worth €7m plus add-ons.

Jansson began his career at Swedish club Kalmar FF, making 78 appearances and contributing nine goals and eight assists. After his contract expired in June 2022, he moved to Spanish side FC Cartagena in LaLiga2 on a free transfer.

In February 2024, Jansson joined Rapid Wien on loan, a move that became permanent in July 2024. Last season saw Jansson truly find form. Operating on the left side of Rapid Wien’s attack, he recorded 14 goal contributions in 33 appearances. In the Austrian Bundesliga, he scored seven goals and provided two assists in 22 games. He also played a key role in Rapid Wien’s European campaign, helping them reach the quarter-finals of the UEFA Conference League before being eliminated by Djurgårdens IF.
