The official Manchester United X account has released the starting lineup for Sunday’s big Premier League title against Liverpool.

Despite the heavy snow that poured overnight in the North West, the local authorities have given the green light for the contest which will kick off at 16:30 UK time.

The Red Devils have a tough task ahead of them, as they’ll take on the runaway league leaders at Anfield. And yet, the visitors must pick themselves up after losing four on the bounce across all competitions, as another defeat could see them further plummet in the table. They already started the weekend in a miserable 14th place.

So how will United line up against their old rivals?

Following the disastrous first-half showing against Newcastle United, Ruben Amorim obviously started by revamping his middle of the park, removing the slow Casemiro and Christian Eriksen and replacing them with the younger and more dynamic duo of Kobbie Mainoo and Manuel Ugarte. The latter is making his return after serving a one-match ban, similar to club captain Bruno Fernandes who starts as an attacking midfielder alongside Amad Diallo.

Rasmus Hojlund will spearhead the charge in the absence of the ‘ill’ Marcus Rashford, while Joshua Zirkzee has been relegated to the bench after last Monday’s unsavoury incident which saw him cheered off the pitch by his own supporters at Old Trafford. Noussair Mazraoui and Diogo Dalot will occupy the wingback slots.

Finally, Amorim maintains the back three of Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez, while Andre Onana starts between the sticks.
