Spain manager Luis de la Fuente has named the squad for the upcoming UEFA Euro 2024 Qualifiers against Cyprus and Georgia.
And the manager has handed Barcelona teenage sensation Lamine Yamal his first-ever call-up to the senior national team.
The 16-year-old wonderkid is enjoying his breakthrough with Barça and having impressed with the youth teams at the international level, a senior call-up was only a matter of time.
Morocco made a play to try and lure him to represent them at the international level, but Yamal has chosen Spain and has been named in the squad.
If he were to make his debut in the qualifiers later this month, Yamal would become the youngest-ever player to feature for Spain.
Apart from Yamal, two more Barcelona stars, Gavi and Alejandro Balde, make the list named by De la Fuente.
However, there is no place in the squad for Ferran Torres despite the Spaniard being in rich goalscoring form. Pedri is injured and misses out while Ansu Fati, who is set to complete his loan move to Brighton, is also not on the list.
