According to journalist Pasquale Guarro, Acerbi is expected to return to action in two weeks against Parma but will work to recover for the next league game against Fiorentina on December 1.
Inter have collected 10 points in the opening four Champions League games this season.
The defending Serie A champions are one of the six unbeaten teams in the competition. The others are Atalanta, Liverpool, Brest, Sporting CP and Monaco.
