Pierluigi Gollini has joined Roma on a permanent transfer from Atalanta, the Giallorossi said in a statement.
“AS Roma is pleased to announce the signing of Pierluigi Gollini from Atalanta on a permanent deal,” Roma’s statement reads.
“The 29-year-old has made 139 total appearances in Serie A, wearing the colours of Hellas Verona, Atalanta, Fiorentina, Napoli and Genoa.
“Pierluigi will wear the No. 95 shirt at Roma.
“Welcome to Rome, Pierluigi!”
Gollini spent the first part of the season out on loan at Genoa, but Nicola Leali became the regular starter between the sticks at Marassi, pushing the ex-Fiorentina and Napoli keeper to leave the club.
Gollini will be the second-choice keeper in the capital, replacing the Australian Mathew Ryan, who joined French side Lens on a permanent transfer earlier this week.
