Sweden international Gabriel Gudmundsson (26) has officially joined Leeds United from LOSC Lille, after the Northern side announced in an official communiqué that they have reached an agreement with the newly promoted Premier League side over a permanent transfer. Gudmundsson joined Lille in the summer of 2021 from FC Groningen and steadily established himself as a starter across four seasons. Capable of operating as a full-back or wing-back, the Swede made 137 appearances, scored 4 goals, and featured in three European campaigns, including two Champions League group stages. The 26-year-old moves to Elland Road on a four-year contract, with the fee believed to be around €12m – according to a previous report from Foot Mercato. Used frequently in a more advanced role on the left flank by Bruno Génesio this season, Gudmundsson’s versatility is a desired feature for the newly promoted Premier League side. The Swede was brought to Lille initially for €6m, doubling in value since his move to France.GFFN | George Boxall
