However, Oaktree has taken over the club when the Chinese Group failed to repay their debt by the deadline.

Therefore, the new club owners have been searching for a new company to acquire the training centre’s naming rights.

On Friday, Inter announced reaching an agreement with BPER Banca who is already one of the club’s commercial partners.

“FC Internazionale Milano has renewed its partnership with BPER, renaming the Appiano Gentile training centre to BPER Training Centre and confirming the continuation of the relationship until the 2025/26 season,” noted the statement published on the club’s official website.

“The BPER Banca logo will also appear on the sleeve of the men’s and women’s training kits.

“BPER, already the club’s Official Banking Partner for the 2023/24 season, will become Inter’s Official Training Centre Naming Rights Partner, with the training centre in Appiano Gentile being renamed BPER Training Centre in memory of Angelo Moratti.

“The bank will also be the Official Training Kit Sleeve Partner with its logo featured on the sleeve of the men’s and women’s first team training kits, as well as on the sleeve of pre-match kits in domestic competitions.

“In addition, the brand will enjoy greater exposure during matches held at San Siro and feature on the LED boards around the pitch throughout the game.”

For his part, Inter Milan Corporate CEO Alessandro Antonello announced his delight with the new deal.

“We are very proud and happy to be able to continue this agreement with BPER. This is thanks to our links with Mastercard two companies who are leaders in their respective fields.

“Continuing this journey together for another two seasons and having the opportunity to develop this collaboration is evidence of the huge amount of work we have done in this first year, and of Inter’s value to big players outside of the world of sport.”

Moreover, BPER CEO Gianni Franco Papa also expressed his happiness with the new agreement.

“We’re happy that we’re strengthening our partnership with Inter, one of the best football teams in Italy and the world.

“They’ve achieved huge results and made their fans proud. Supporting such an important sporting institution allows us to share our driving values of passion, commitment, and team spirit with sports fans.”
