FC Barcelona is set to kick off the game against Como shortly for the Joan Gamper Trophy. As the last preseason game before the start of the official season, Hansi Flick’s side will want to get a positive result. Fortunately, the team has enough quality to do that.

Moreover, given that this is the last test for the team before their La Liga opener against RCD Mallorca, it was expected that Flick would field a strong eleven. Now, it turns out that the actual lineup is indeed a strong one.

Here is the official starting eleven for Barça against Italian side Como.

In goal, Joan Garcia takes the starting goalkeeping position. His reflexes and ball-playing ability will be called into question in this game, and he will need to be at his best.

Ahead of him, Pau Cubarsi and Ronald Araujo start as the two centre-backs. With Inigo Martinez no longer at the club, Hansi Flick had to pair up the youngster with a new partner in defense.

On the flanks, Alejandro Balde and Eric Garcia are the two starting full-backs for Flick’s team. They will have to cover a lot of ground, and the team’s functionality both offensively and defensively will depend on them quite a bit.

In the midfield, Pedri and Frenkie de Jong start as the two defensive midfielders. They will need to use their technical quality to retain and distribute possession, while also creating chances.

Right in front of those two, Lamine Yamal and Raphinha occupy the wings. In between them, Fermin Lopez starts as the central attacking midfielder right before the centre-forward.

Up top, Marcus Rashford starts as the team’s focal point in attack for Barcelona. The players around him will try to create chances for him, and he will need to make sure that he converts them and finds the back of the net.
