It is official. Pau Victor has left FC Barcelona to sign for SC Braga, the club have confirmed via a statement.

“FC Barcelona and Sporting Clube de Braga have reached an agreement for the transfer of player Pau Victor,” the club statement read.

“The Club wishes him much luck and success in the future, both personally and professionally.”

Victor initially signed for the Blaugrana in 2023, on a loan deal from Girona, and impressed with Barça Atletic, finishing as the top scorer in the RFEF First Division.

It prompted Barcelona to sign him permanently in 2024. Victor went on to make 29 first-team appearances under Hansi Flick last season, scoring two and assisting one goal.

The 23-year-old was well down the pecking order in the attacking department, with Robert Lewandowski, Ferran Torres, Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, and Dani Olmo all ahead of him.

With Marcus Rashford arriving as well, Victor’s chances took a further hit, and Barcelona have decided to offload him, doing so for a decent profit.

While the statement does not mention it, Victor’s transfer is set to fetch €12 million in fees for the La Liga champions, with a further €3 million in add-ons.
