Injuries are something that FC Barcelona has dealt with often over the last few years. In important stretches of the season, the Catalan side has seen crucial players be sidelined. Unfortunately, a key player has now suffered an injured before the season has even kicked off.
As revealed by the club’s official account, 36-year-old Polish ace Robert Lewandowski has a hamstring problem in his left thigh. While clear details have not been given, the club has confirmed that he will miss an upcoming game at the very least.

The game in question is obviously the Joan Gamper Trophy clash against Italian side Como. As one of the club’s star players, having him available for the match would have been a priority but it appears that the club will have to make do without him for now.
As for his recovery or a potential return date, Barça has not provided much clarity on that subject. Instead, the club has simply stated that his recovery will determine his return. Unfortunately for Lewandowski, the official season is set to kick off this month.
With Inigo Martinez expected to leave and Lewandowski now injured, Flick’s options seem to be decreasing day by day. Fortunately, it seems that Ferran Torres will be available for that game following recent reports claiming that he is no longer a doubt for the game against Como.
