Augsburg left back David Colina’s loan to NK Osijek in his native Croatia has been officially confirmed. Colina’s Bundesliga parent club has confirmed the existence of a purchase option in the player’s third consecutive loan move. Further details have not been divulged, though GGFN can reliably confirm that Augsburg have pocketed a €100,000 loan fee as part of the deal.

“Given the strong competition on the left-hand-side of defense, another loan is the best option for David,” FCA managing director Michael Ströll noted in a club statement. “In Croatia, he will have the chance to play regularly and continue his development as a player. We wish him all the best of luck.“

“I am delighted to be returning to my home country of Croatia,” the player himself added. “My goal is to get plenty of playing time and prove myself on the pitch. I would like to thank everyone at FCA for agreeing to this switch.”
